Access is one of the most important aspects of quality health care. Community Care Physicians is committed to providing you with the care you need when and where you want it- during the day, evenings, weekends and holidays.
We understand that illnesses or injuries happen unexpectedly, often with the most inconvenient timing. Patients or caretakers cannot always access a family physician when most needed. In addition, at times, it is not possible to get an appointment with a busy, booked doctor’s office.
Community Care Physicians’ Urgent Care Centers are designed for these situations that require immediate attention, but aren’t life threatening enough to be worth a visit to the emergency room. Our Urgent Care Centers provide walk-in service every day with less waiting time, less cost, and more convenience than a typical hospital emergency room.
We have Urgent Care Centers across the greater Capital Region. You never need an appointment and we treat patients of all ages. We also accept most major insurances. Whether you have a runny nose, a sore throat, or need attention for a minor injury or illness, our providers and staff at Urgent Care can help you – just walk in!
Community Care Physicians has convenient Urgent Care locations in Albany, Latham (Daytime), and Latham. Our Urgent Care Centers participate with most major insurance plans. Our Urgent Care Centers also have access to lab and imaging services on-site or nearby for your convenience.
When urgent, but non-life threatening illnesses or injuries happen, think Urgent Care. Our Urgent Care Centers are staffed by board certified family physicians, certified physician assistants or nurse practitioners. We provide a number of services for patients of all ages on a walk in basis including, but not limited to:
- Flu symptoms
- Urinary tract infections
- Upper respiratory issues
- Sore throat
- Strep throat
- Runny nose
- Minor injuries
- Rule out fractures
- Sprain and strains
- Allergic reactions
- Gastrointestinal issues
- Bites and stings
- Cuts and scrapes repair
Our Urgent Care Centers are able to provide COVID-19 antibody testing and COVID-19 diagnostic lab testing at designated locations to those who meet CDC-based screening criteria.
Our Urgent Care locations – in Albany, NY and Latham, NY – can be used by anyone in the greater Capital Region for walk-in care. Our Urgent Care Centers are easy to get to for those patients who require a face-to-face visit, and we follow particularly strict infection control procedures during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) pandemic due to the nature of care we provide. Urgent Care is prepared to handle the “normal” urgent care-type issues, as well as COVID-related respiratory symptoms. Urgent Care sees patients of all ages, with one exception – we don’t see newborns under 3 months old with fever as a symptom.
Community Care Physicians offers our patients COVID-19 (PRC) diagnostic testing at our mobile testing trailer in Latham by appointment and antibody testing (a blood test) in our offices by appointment. However, you must be a patient to be tested. The good news is that if you aren’t already a CCP patient, CCP’s Urgent Care Centers can be used as portals of entry into our system for non-CCP patients, which is becoming increasingly important as we expands our testing capabilities for COVID-19 for our patients. You can walk into our Urgent Care Center in Albany, NY or Latham, NY, have an encounter, and that would make you a patient to get COVID-19 diagnostic testing and antibody testing if clinically warranted.
Please note, Latham Urgent Care during evenings and weekends can and will perform COVID-19 diagnostic (PCR) testing and will draw labs for serology in the Urgent Care practice. However, DAYTIME Latham Urgent Care and Albany Urgent Care will see you for a visit and then refer patients to CCP’s mobile testing site in Latham for COVID-19 diagnostic testing and to the neighboring LabCare draw stations for IgG serology testing phlebotomy.
If you don’t have a doctor or if you are unable to access COVID-19 diagnostic or antibody testing, use CCP’s Urgent Care Centers in Albany or Latham, NY for care.
