“I enjoy being in healthcare because every day is an opportunity to form new trusting relationships with patients and their families. I specifically enjoy working with patients with chronic medical conditions and collaborating with them to develop a plan that will help them have the best quality of life possible.” 

Alissa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She proceeded to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from The Sage Colleges. Alissa is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.

Alissa originally is from Buffalo and chose to move to the Capital Region for a job opportunity and decided to stay. Alissa chose to work in a primary care setting because she enjoyed working as a nurse, seeing chronic diseases, she wanted to be at the forefront of the healthcare operation to help in disease prevention and patient wellness. Alissa’s favorite part of her job is being able to work with patients and their families to develop an individualized plan for their health and wellness. She also enjoys the team work aspect of working with patients and their families.

In her spare time, Alissa enjoys playing with her puppy, and spending time outdoors and with friends. She also likes to go for long bike rides in the summer.
