S. Jane Wilkinson is a certified physician assistant and a member of the National Commission on Certification Of Physician Assistants. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Jane began her studies at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, earning her Bachelor of Science in biology.
Jane is originally from Kansas but moved to the Capital Region to further her education and attend graduate school. Back in high school, she learned how incredible the human body is, and that is when she decided to pursue a career in medicine. Jane was drawn to family medicine because she has a passion for preventive healthcare and enjoys working closely with patients. She appreciates how the practice of medicine is ever-evolving and the creative challenge of shaping the application of the practice to her patients. Jane has a particular interest in prevention and wellness and having the ability to give patients an active role in their health. She loves seeing her patients take control of their mental and physical well-being and thriving.
In her spare time, Jane enjoys being physically active and spending time with her dog. She tries to travel internationally at least once a year. Jane loves hiking and has climbed 8 out of the 46 high peaks! She also serves on the Board of the American Obesity Association.
