Dr. Simmons is Board Certified in Neurology with Special Certification in Child Neurology. He completed his undergraduate education at Union College and attended medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship in pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. His neurology and child neurology training were completed at SUNY at Buffalo and the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, where he spent his final year as Chief Resident of neurology and child neurology. He moved to the Capital District in July of 2009. He lives in the Clifton Park area with his wife and four children. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society, and the American Epilepsy Society. He serves on the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern NY.
