  Preparing for Your X-ray or Fluoroscopy Exam

X-Ray
For digital x-ray there is no preparation. You may have to change into a hospital gown depending on the area being x-rayed and whether or not you have metal buttons, clips, or zippers on.

Flouroscopy
For fluoroscopy exams including Upper GI's, Esophograms, and Small Bowel Follow Throughs you are asked to refrain from eating or drinking after midnight.
