Laboratory tests are utilized by many physicians to aid in diagnosis of a patient's medical illness or condition. Community Care Physicians (CCP) recognizes the importance of accessibility, quality, and prompt results reporting. To effectively meet those challenges CCP providers utilize one of three options for their laboratory testing needs; in-office testing, CCP's central laboratory, and a hospital or outside reference laboratory.
Many CCP providers offer in office testing for commonly ordered laboratory procedures such as urine analysis, prothrombin times and blood draws, sparing patients the inconvenience of traveling to an another location for lab testing. In most instances, specimens can then be couriered to CCP's central lab, LabCare, for analysis. Please note that each individual CCP office may have its own procedures and established schedules for testing.
LabCare is Community Care Physicians' central laboratory located in Clifton Park, New York. LabCare economically offers the same accuracy and capabilities of larger reference or hospital laboratories. Because LabCare is a part of Community Care Physicians, each Community Care provider receives the personal attention he or she needs to help take the next step toward a diagnosis. Each CCP office has a direct link to the laboratory eliminating the frustration caused by lost or misdirected test results. Next day results are available for most procedures done by the lab. LabCare is an approved facility with most major insurances.
For less common or more complicated laboratory procedures, patients may be sent to an outside facility for the test. CCP has professional ties to all major Capital Region hospitals and several referral laboratories.
