Applications Analyst needed to join our team of IT professionals in Latham. The Application Analyst is responsible for the administration and development of clinical applications in a large corporate network infrastructure and enterprise information systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS required. Appropriate experience may be substituted for a degree. • Two to three year’s work experience in an IT department in a primary health care practice is desirable. • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. • Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project. • Strong project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment. •Strong analytical and problem solving skills. •Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.• Participate on IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects. • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues. • Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications. • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc. • Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. •Assist in managing an outsource relationship for 3rd party application development and programming consultants. • Assist in troubleshooting software application issues • Coordinate application development for multiple projects.• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting. • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of clinical processes.
