Information Paper: Alternate Routes of Travel March - October 2010
Construction on Route 7 has challenged each of us over the past couple of years; however the period from March through October 2010 will have the greatest impact on employees, patients and visitors traveling to and from Community Care Physicians’ flagship location, the Capital Region Health Park.
During this period, the Route 7 bridge spanning I-87 will be replaced; as a result, there will be significant traffic delays for anyone trying to use the bridge (as it will be restricted to one lane traffic).
In an effort to help you stay informed regarding alternate routes available while the bridge replacement is taking place, we offer detailed information on the project and alternate recommended routes to travel during the bridge replacement for your convenience.
You can also visit the New York State Department of Transportation’s official website (www.exit6.org) which provides detailed information regarding the work site, planned road closures and timelines to travelers.
The information provided on our website, as well as information provided on the NYSDOT website, will hopefully help each of us prepare in advance for next spring and summer’s bridge replacement.
