Two Schenectady Practices Scheduled to Merge in Late March:
River Road Internal Medicine and Scotia Internal Medicine will consolidate to provide comprehensive Internal Medicine services

Community Care Physicians has been serving the healthcare needs of patients in the Capital District for over 25 years. We have health care sites of various sizes and styles in a wide array of locations in four counties.  Our mission is to provide high quality cost effective care in convenient state of the art facilities that are part of the communities we serve.

The merger of two internal medicine practices in Schenectady County is an example of our commitment to this mission.

In March, River Road Internal Medicine and Scotia Internal Medicine will consolidate their practices in an effort to increase efficiencies and improve patient care. The new practice, renamed Niskayuna Internal Medicine, will be located at 2125 River Road, Niskayuna, within 5 miles of both current locations. When combined, this practice will consist of 6 board certified physicians including doctors Jung Wen Chen, Steven Goldberg, Sakeet Gupta, Trevor Litchmore, Laurence Weiner, and Asim Yousuf.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance the delivery of high-quality patient care throughout Schenectady County. Both primary care groups have a strong commitment to patients and their families. This new partnership will bring Community Care’s shared vision of forward thinking, patient-centered, quality medical care to the entire Schenectady community.

The addition of on-site lab services and after-hours urgent care at the new practice location will allow patients of both practices access to more comprehensive medical services than are available at the current locations.

River Road Internal Medicine will relocate to the new location the week of February 22nd. At the end of March/beginning of April, Scotia Internal Medicine is expected to move into the newly constructed building.

Niskayuna Internal Medicine accepts new and former patients. Call 518-381-9355 to schedule an appointment.
